Steve Chilcote obtained a
degree in Agriculture from The Pennsylvania State University in
1980 and a Master of Forest Resources degree from that institution
in 1996. He has started several enterprises including a small
construction company, a real estate practice and a forestry
consulting practice. He worked for a major land holding company in
New York's Adirondack Region for several years as the land sales
manager and worked as a consultant on land purchases for other
large timberland management companies.
He currently works with private forest
landowners who wish to harvest timber, improve wildlife habitat
and make land investments. He also contracts with the DCNR to
write management plans for their Forest Stewardship Program.
An avid hunter and naturalist, Steve has hunted and observed
natural resources all over the Northeast, Canada, Alaska and the
Rocky Mountains. He lives with his 5-year-old son in Centre
County. |
